Hi everyone! My name is Angie, I am a 33 year old mom of 3. I stumbled upon 3fc, and it looks like a great forum with lots of supporting people! This definitely isn't my first time trying to lose weight, I've done it before with the help of WW, lost 40 lbs one time, but always end up losing motivation and give up.
My life the last 2 years has basically been turned upside down. I moved with my husband and children in March 2010 to Egypt, where my DH is from. It has been hard, to say the least. I have basically lived the last 2 years of my life sitting on the couch, watching tv or messing around on the computer, and snacking. I was heavy when we first moved, around 187 lbs, reached my highest weight ever of 214 last summer while on vacation back in the US (Minnesota) gorging myself with all of the food I've been missing, and am now at 203, thanks to a bout of sickness a few months ago. I am leaving for the US with my kids in about a month for the summer again, and I can only imagine what I will look like come fall if I don't start something now. I know I will have support back home, my mom needs to lose weight also, we have always done it together, so I think this summer should be good for both of us. I know once I get started and stick to it for 2 weeks or so, I should be good to go. I think having somewhere to check in on my and other's progress will help greatly, too.
I am not able to do any "plans" here in Egypt, as they aren't available, so I am going to be counting calories. Pretty much all food is made from scratch over here, as all the boxed/canned/frozen meals that are so readily available in the US are all but nonexistant here, I guess that is a good thing
