Default New Girl from Cali, 12+ weeks post op

Hello all. I'm brand new here. I am 12+ weeks post gastric bypass, RNY. While I am doing pretty well I find I need some more emotional support as some of my old coping habits are popping up! I've lost about 50 pounds, but have been starting to eat some unhealthy foods again, sugary stuff, etc and I've been smoking some. I really don't want to continue these unhealthy patterns. I have started to see a therapist again, someone I've seen in the past, and I'm writing in my journal again, though i haven't been keeping my food journal lately.
I'm trying to learn new healthy ways of dealing with the stress related to the weight loss, recently moved and am in a relationship now, which is 1st one in 10 years. So I could really use some encouragement, feedback, etc.
Thanks for letting me be here and any help i can get.

Hey there, welcome! There's a sub-forum on here for gastric bypass, so you should definitely check that out, as I'm sure it'll be nice to talk to other people who have had the surgery. Good job on your loss so far, and don't give up! Try to get past those habits now, instead of later, and just keep working. You can do it.

Hey there, and

As the previous poster said, we have a great Weight Loss Surgery forum you may want to check out.

We also have groups by age range and amount to lose (including the 100 lb club, for those who want to lose, are on their way to losing, or have lost 100 lbs or more). Check those out too, in addition to all of the many groups, chat areas, and forums for other topics.

So look around, find a spot, jump in, and get to posting.

I can't wait to get to know you better!
