Default So happy I found you!
Hi, my name is Terri and I was so happy to find this website. I am trying to lose weight but it seems that I like to sabotage myself and don't know why. I hope to make some friends here and get the support I need to get these lbs. off! I have had weight issues my whole life and always thought that's just the way it would always be. But then I stopped smoking last year, which helped me to realize that I'm not really helpless, I CAN affect change if I want it badly enough. Unfortunately, after a week of stellar calorie counting, I jumped on the "eat everything in sight" train today and I feel terrible about it. This tells me that I need some support and I'm hoping you all can help me! Anyway, it's nice to be here and I can't wait to meet some of you!

sounds like you and I are getting into this at the same time <3 I wish you luck and I will totally support you!

I know all about that "eat everything in site" feeling, I swear that is how I used to eat all the time. I told my boyfriend today that I would like his support in loosing the weight and he will support me in running each day that I can and not eating past a certain time. Plus he is helping me plan a healthy menu for next week (one week at a time). Do you have anyone in your life that can support you on a day to day basis? It was scary but felt so good to let him in on my plans.

Welcome! I'm new here too, and like you I also stopped smoking last year. Good for us!!! I heiffered up quite a bit after I quit, but at least I don't rumble when I breathe at night. You are right - if we can quit smoking we sure as heck have the strength to lose weight!

I'm going through a clinic, since I've recently developed a few alarming health issues and need to get some weight off quickly. I am grateful beyond measure that my hubby is super-supportive - I don't know how I could do this if he wasn't. Gawd that would suck (shudder).

I will be rooting for you!
