I have been here before ages ago way back in 2004 yup that long ago. I am back and this time DH is also losing weight due to heart problems.
We are embarking on the South Beach Diet so I will be there a lot.
This time it is something we will have to master and for life so we are really serious.
DH was told if he did not lose the weight it would be a gastric bypass for him. That did the trick he decided there and then that he would lose the weight no matter what it took without an operation.
So he is now doing really well and already shed 28 pounds but after a month he has not lost a thing. So he did some research and decided on the South Beach diet, no calrie couinting that is a bonus for a start.
So I am here again determined to make a go of it.
I have lost weight and need to lose more so I can be healthier as I have osteo arthritis and high cholesterol so losing weigh will be a big benefit to me.
So being here I know I will get the support I need.

Sounds like you and DH are really on the right track, I think it's just wonderful when you have a buddy right there in the house! My DH is losing right along with me, it makes it easier doesn't it! Of course, after two weeks he's like, "Whew, I'm at goal, that was rough" and then I clonk him over the head
I am very lucky that I have a partner this time around as last time DH was not dieting and that was really hard.
Two weeks and your at goal weight wow.
