Default Hey there.

Hey guys... my name is Katie. I am brand new here. Don't really know what I am doing yet, but I guess we will find out. I realized that I really needed to take concern over my weight when I gained about 50 lbs over the past year due to stress. So I guess I am going to need some support, so that is why I am here.

Hope to get to know all of you!

Katie -

Stress can definitely put you through the wringer, and can be horrible for weight control. Hopefully whatever it was that caused your stress has calmed down.

Do you have a plan in place? Most of us find that, to succeed at losing weight, you have to have a plan in mind...some sort of formal eating and exercise goal. If you do have a plan, we probably have a forum for it...everything from Calorie Counting to South Beach to Atkins to Weight Watchers to Jenny Craig...well, I could go on, but you get the point. And if you haven't picked a plan yet, browsing will give you a great idea of what is out there.

Anyway, stick around - can't wait to hear more from you soon!

I have tried Weight Watchers before, and I have all the books and everything still. I just didnt enjoy having to go to the meetings. I dont know much about the other diets. I dont want an over night success. I know that with everything comes time. I just want something that shows results faster, so I dont get discouraged. So... yeah, I am looking for the best exercise routine and diet for me.

I just lost 55 lbs

I had horrible stress in April, my family was shattered but we weathered it & I hit a stall but I need to lose a bit more weight, the stress is lower so hopefully now it will come off the rest of the way. Hows your stress JOB?
Good luck in your weight loss journey
