Smile Hi there! I am so excited to be here!

Hi All,

My name is Sandi. I was born in Chicago and now live in Sunny Colorado. I stumbled onto this forum and can't believe my luck! There is so much fabulous information! Yay!!!!

Dieting has been a life long hobby for me. In my early 20's I only ate on Saturday and Sunday (I was very poor and the jeans were tight, so this seemed like a good solution)

In my early 30's, juggling a career and young children, kept the lbs away.

Unfortunately - I turned 40. Well - my real problems began when I hit 36. My metabolism slowed down. I sit on my butt most of the day ... so the pounds started creeping on. After 4 years and 30 lbs of weight gain, I decided to take drastic measures.

Has anyone tried the Master Cleanse (Lemonade Diet)? I lost 19.5lbs in 10 days. Woohoo! I gained back 10lbs in 5 days, and now I am trying to find my way to a sustainable weight loss.

I sure hope having support and joining in your fun will help! I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hey Sandi!

Master Cleanse, as you found, isn't really great for long-term sustainable weight loss...so if you want something sustainable, that probably isn't the way to do it. Luckily, you can find all kinds of other sustainable ways of losing weight here.

You may want to visit our Featherweights forum, for those with less to lose, or the 40-somethings forum.

Look around, find a spot, and settle in...can't wait to get to know you better.

Hi there! So glad you found 3FC

We're all here to support eachother as we find ways to slowly, but surely lose the weight & keep it off. Take a look at the Diet Central area. You might find a plan that suits your lifestyle.

Best of luck ^^

Did you have breakfast, yet? I hope so! If you're really that hungry, you should eat something You shouldn't be starving, as that can lead to overeating later on.

I am looking forward to the master cleanse. It is not easy to find that little book anywhere! I am in a somewhat similar situation. Nearing 40 and gained 40 pounds after fourth child.
My idea is to start with cleanse and ease into weight watchers.

Hi there kittycat40 &

You might find the 30-somethings or 40-somethings support groups to be helpful. Or if you begin WW, there's also a WW section under Diet Central.

Check around, and post wherever you're comfortable!

Best of success!
