Hello!

I am Nikki, and I just started SBD 4 days ago. I have been lingering for a while, but am now finally joining as I KNOW I will need social support to get through this. My first goal is to get down under 200lbs, somewhere I haven't been since my senior year of high school.

A bit to know about me... I was born and raised in Michigan, then moved to Kansas for grad school, and am now working in Tacoma, Washington. Feels like all I have been doing since I've been on my own is moving! I work in Higher Education and love what I do. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and have been struggling with that weight gain for as long as I can remember. I feel like I am finally taking some positive steps toward correcting my imbalances and just can't wait for what the future has to bring!

We have so many areas that might be of special interest to you. First, you might want to head out to our "Dieting with Obstacles" area...specifically the "PCOS and Insulin Resistance" area. It is great to have others to talk to in the same situation medically!

Second, have you found our South Beach Diet forum yet? You can find lots of folks there on the same plan you are, full of tips, tricks, and ideas to make this journey fun and successful.
