I'm Emily and I'm a 19 year old college student from Connecticut. I've been dieting on and off my entire life but I'm determined to finally make a change. I'm glad I found this forum to post at, because I'm going to need a lot of help and hopefully in turn I'll be able to help someone else.
Just so you know, I am also new. That is exactly how I feel only I am 31 and I have been working out and eating right for 4 weeks now and I have dropped 10 lbs and I am seeing the results already....feels great. Keep up the good work. IT is so nice to have this site to motivate one another!!!
P.S. my post says I have lost 28 lbs....but that was naturally for the last year or so.....after I had a baby. The last 4 weeks have been the biggest improvments!!!
Hello everyone...I am not saying that I have started a diet, instead I'm considering it a life style change! over the past 5 weeks I have been working out and watching what I eat. My workouts consist of weight training and walking at least 5 days a week! I am really doing good and am proud of my self, but today.......Dairy Queen was calling my name! I ate a burger, 1/2 of my fries, and half of a small blizzard! I haven't at that much in one meal since I started my lifestyle change...I felt so bad...I wanted to go walk and walk, and walk to burn up all of those calories, but wasn't able to get any walking in today....not to worry...I am back to my new self tomorrow! Thanks for letting me confess...ha ha

I am new as well. College is a tough place to be for being
healthy and staying trim. I gained like 15 pounds in undergrad
and like another 12 after getting married last summer. It
comes on way too quick. Good luck! I think the mandatory
meal plan and 3 buffet style meals a day did it to me in college
so I would avoid those if you can! Also, avoiding drinking!
It is high calorie and expensive! Not to mention potentially
embarassing if you do something dumb! LOL!
