Hey, sugarinky!
It's kind of slow here on weekends, but I thought I'd say hey. It is really great that your family wants to go on a program with you! Lots of people in the support forum talk about how hard it can be if they don't.
About the chicken--well, there is always sauteeing rather than frying--it's almost like frying but without all the fat. Or, you can also use a nonstick frypan and spray it with PAM, and perhaps add a little tiny bit of olive oil and a little tiny bit of butter. By "little tiny" I mean a teaspoon or two of each. I don't use the points system, so I don't know whether that's allowed. Then use boneless, skinless breasts, cut lengthwise in half (they cook faster that way). You could also rub some garlic inside the pan for a little extra flavor if you like garlic. Anyway, that's worth a try. To me it still tastes good.
Water is good for flushing out the system--8 to 10 8-oz. glasses per day is the usual amount. Some people think that's more than necessary, though.
Good luck to you!
