Unhappy Hi ! I'm new here!!!

Hi, I'm going to 45 in about 2 1/2 weeks and I weigh 224 pounds. Thats more than I weighed whenI was pregnant with my second child 12 years ago.I was just diagnosed with spinal stenosis with degenerative disc disease. So lately I have had alot of pain and not moving as much as before. I'm trying to eat a lower, smarter carb diet but I'm having a tough time at it. Any thoughts would be GREAT. Thanks!!!! Laurel45

Hello,I'm also new here.Sorry to hear of your back pain.I have a slight back problem myself. How much caffine do you drink?I have read about caffine inducing stress which can lead to body pains. So I have cut soda out of the picture, but still have to have a little tea now and then.It has helped me somewhat. You may try that if you like.Hope you are feeling better soon.

Hi Trish, Thanks for replying. The Back issues don't keep from work, but it definately slows the want to exercise. I'm starting the WW core diet. It has worked for me before, so I thought with the weight gain its a good time to try it again. How are you doing? Laurel

Hi LAUREL . . . . . . you have definitely taken that first, very important step on the long and winding road to better health and fitness just by coming to this site. You will find tons of support here, wherever you may wander.

Have you found the Weight Watchers forums?
Here is a link to the WW GENERAL forum in case you haven't gotten there yet . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=18
and here's one for WW CORE . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=158

You might also want to take a look at DIETING WITH OBSTACLES. You might find someone who is dealing with the same problems as you are. I know it can really help to be able to talk with others who understand the special challenges you are facing. Here's a link for that . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=14

Have a great moving and shaking day, girl. You are heading in the right direction now . . . the downward one.
