Default Newbie needs help.

Hi there! My name is Christine and I live in Queens, NY. I'm almost 20, and engaged to a wonderful man who has my heart.

Around when I was 16 I joined Weight Watchers and lost almost 40lbs bringing me down to 160. Recently I haven't been able to control my eating and drinking of soda and sky rocketed back to 200. I'm devistated. I'm still young and want to lead a happy, healthy life. I'm trying so hard to get back onto scheduale and do what's good for me and my body but I can't find any oomf to get me there. There is one thing though that I think will help me greatly. When I was younger I got so upset if I didn't lose 5lbs in a week and would start to get off my diet.. but now I understand losing weight isn't something that will happen overnight, and will eventually happen if I stick to it. I'm wondering if losing 10lbs a month until June is an achieveable goal? But overall I just want to be a healthier, happy person. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to be an incredibly active user.

10 pounds a month seems like a reasonable goal. It works out to about 2 pounds a week which is considered safe. You may find that your weight comes off a little faster the first couple of weeks and slows down a lot as you get close to your goal.

Look around at some of the progress photos if you're looking for some serious motivation to get you started. They are incredible. Good luck.

Welcome Chrissy and good luck to you. I think 10 pounds per month is reasonable as well.
