Sorry that you're going through a stressful time.

You know IP works, since you lost 90 pounds on this program. Enough said!

Hi countryck22,

Like Lizzy63 said, you know IP works. I tried to join WW in the summer to lose 10 lbs and I went to 2 meetings before falling off the wagon and gaining another 10. I went back to IP and I'm almost back to my goal by doing a Phase 3 reboot. My coach keeps me accountable. I find WW has too much freedom that leads to over eating and the weight comes off a lot slower. Ultimately you have to choose what will work with your lifestyle and bank account. Good for you for taking control back!

Steph

Hello and welcome back! Having dine both, I personally prefer ideal protein as I never had much success with ww and I also didn't like the catty ladies who "owned" the local ww group. That being said, I know lots of people who have had success with ww and found a great group of ladies there that are supportive. I would suggest whichever route you take, you set a timeline for assessing your success so that if you find the option you choose isn't working that way you want you have a plan for changing to the backup option.

Good luck country! At lease you know this is emotional eating, and not anything deliberate you did. I'd chime in and suggets IP too, and would hope the rest of your housemates can support you on this. Sounds like you are both a good poerson, and the current support hub. Best of luck!

Countryck22, I have done WW numerous times and had a little success. it was hard to stay motivated as the weight came off so slow. This is my first time with iP and find that it is working great for me. I like the more structured program. You just have to decide what you are mentally ready for and what works best for you. I know you will do great.

Hey Countryck22,

Like you, I lost a lot of weight on IP and have gained some of it back. I can't tell you what to do, only you can decide that.
FWIW, I have tried other plans to lose. As Stephascope said, many other plans are too liberal and I find myself triggering cravings and binges when I eat too many carbs. The structure of IP keeps me in line. I don't go to a coach, but a good coach may be helpful.
I guess this decision comes down to self knowledge. People lose weight on both plans. How carb sensitive are you? Do you have the commitment to get back on a strict plan?
Whatever you do, if you do it with commitment, you know the weight will come off.
I wish you all the best!

countryck22,

I am doing a Phase 3 reboot as recommended by my coach. I was fully prepared to start Phase 1 all over again but I have an amazing coach who obviously is not just after my money. I have a feeling most coaches would start their dieters back on Phase 1 so they sell more food. Of course the weight will come off faster that way but I have had great success on Phase 3. If I stick to it, the weight comes off almost as fast as I was on Phase 1. It's awesome. Let us know what you decide
