Good Morning fellow IPeeps,

We've had a snow storm and some sloppy wet weather this week, thankfully we already had an appointment for today to get our studded tires put on the car. But I am still hoping for the snow to melt before we get our permanent blanketing of snow for the next 5-6 months. We still have some stuff to do put away for the season.

I was excited to pull out the winter coat I bought last spring, it's a beautiful retro feel coat from **** Bunny (H3LL BUNNY, it blanked out the first time!) and I only got to wear it a couple of times last spring before it got to warm. Thankfully it still fits, but I am sad to think that by the time I'm done losing, it will be too big

I've been having a blah week, with poor sleeps and no motivation for ANYTHING!! So I am looking forward to my weekly game of soccer tonight and hope it will motivate, and energize me.

Have a great OP day!

Made jicama fries last night with coconut oil, chile powder, sea salt...um no so yummy and way too crunchy. I will try again with some other spices but that recipe didn't do it for me!!!

I find Jicama too crunchy as well, rutabaga seems to soften up better and tastes pretty close to potatoes though a bit sour.

Hi ladies - well, day 4 and I'm feeling pretty good. Wait, scratch that. I kinda feel like ****, haha! I'm tired, I've had a headache for days, and I'm hungry. BUT, I am so proud of myself for doing this and looking forward to seeing some progress this week! I've been 100% OP, even had to travel for work yesterday and packed all my foods so I didn't have any excuses.

BStr13 - Jicima fries, wow! I would have no idea how to make those, too bad they didn't turn out, but good on ya for trying!

DD - It's too early for snowstorms!! Good news about the jacket, maybe if it gets too small you can trade it in for a smaller one at a consignment store or something??

Aria - do you think eating free foods between meals will effect your loss? My coach told me to try and limit my food to meal times, which I think is really hard and makes me hungry too!!

So, I am 4 days into my restart after losing 65lbs, maintaining for 2 years and then having a baby 9 weeks ago.

Today was my official WI and I lost 12 lbs in 4 days. According to the BCA, only 3 of that was water. I don't generally think the BCA is very accurate, but no one in the clinic seemed to think that was weird. I think it sounds too good to be true.

Hello. I'm back and on Day 4.5. I have more to lose than the first time around (in 2012) and will adjust my goal weight. I also have more hormonal issues to deal with. Took me a while to get back on the horse, and I'm taking it one day at a time.

Aria and Teags - the "Unlimited raw" veggies are that way for a reason! They are mostly water, add very little in terms of calories and carbs, and are there to help make the diet tolerable!

You will not experience a gain because you ate a lot of unlimited veggies. I can promise you that. Coaches unfortunately try to over-restrict an already restrictive diet, as though they can make it work better than it already does! Most are well-intended but ill-informed.

Eat from the unlimited list as much as you want/need to and don't sweat it.

Thanks for explaining the mustard thing to me experienced IPeeps. Ugh. I screwe up again! And all bc of my distaste for meat! I'm just going to have to get over that eventually. (And for the record, it probably was more like an 1/8 of a cup a day, but I get it-- its too much and honestly never even occurred to me). I log everything i put into my mouth and never once thought of the mustard. Dang it. But. That would explain why I have been stuck betwee 226 and 229 pounds for nearing 2 weeks now.

Hope everyone has a good day. Good job EPAPRN, and atleast you're back Diane!

I have lots of homework and studying today. And no end in sight. Later ladies!

Welcome back and awesome job, EPAPRN! Congratulations on your new addition as well. What is BCA?

I'm on Day 4 of a restart (IP w/alternatives). I'm hungry a lot and need to eat more free foods, like mentioned above. I also had a headache yesterday but it's gone today.

BStr13 Try the jicima raw, I think it taste a bit like pear in my salad or add it to a stir fry, its like having water chestnuts, crunch and flavor.

Made a Chocolate Brownie "Quest Bar" this morning and had 1/2 of it after my workout. It was really yummy. With my protein powder, these are the values for a whole bar.
144 cals
1 g. fat
24 g. carbs
22 g. fiber
17 g. protein
0 sugar
0 sodium
