Yesterday's daily ended with a post from Blondi13 who was concerned about bloating and a 5 pound gain following surgery on Wednesday..

My reply- try to stay off the scale for at least a week after surgery. IV fluids plus post op swelling and inflammation cause fluid retention and it takes a long time to even out. You did NOT gain 5 pounds of fat in 2days. Drink your water and stay close to the potty!!

It is a beautiful Seattle area day today. Looking forward to going to the big Harbor Freight sale - lol at least that what my hubby is talking about (he's got a coupon ready to go). It will be a nice day for a drive regardless of where we go. I'm bringing the dog. With the Independence Day fireworks going on around here I won't leave her alone.

Fitbit, get ready for some steps today. Momma isn't chained to her desk for three whole days!

I hope you all are having a great day regardless if it ia holiday or not... it's Friday!

Can you pack a picnic cooler? Even a RTD in a backpack or purse can be poured over a cup of ice (it's not too bad with a straw). I'd go ahead and plan on a extra packet today if you are walking all over, playing, and such.
Some of the fruity drink packets can mix okay in a cup of water. Drink lots of water too, being outside and very active.

Have fun!

Edited to add: This is where I would sometimes use a Quest Bar - special outing and everyone around me having their goodies from the vendors. Eating one of those was like a huge treat. But, if you don't have those don't worry about it. I just thought I'd mention it. I need to get me some more of those bars for this sort of thing. No ice needed to enjoy :-)

I'd have a spinach smoothie before you go.
Unfortunately you aren't planned ahead for this. When I plan ahead, I usually take zucchini muffins.
Can you take some celery sticks? And a bar?
I'd get a burger and toss the bun, if I couldn't find a sit-down restaurant for a salad. Add pickles!

Hope everyone has a great Fourth of July! Great weather here in the Midwest. Staying 100% OP had been not 100% last few months, but you know I love where I am at now and want to go lower, as feel so much better since have lost the 50 pounds. Coach says most of her people are having a hard time this summer. Which is not an excuse, started reading Becks book it is so true, really have to change thinking. Again have a wonderful day.

Mornin' gals. I am back down to my 'should be' weight again after just over a week of being up more pounds than I like. Fitting the board shorts better - they were kinda sqweeezy around my bloated tummy. I scored a couple of great finds at value village yesterday. Anne Klein flats in patent leopard & black with a discrete little buckle at the rounded toe (I know, like I need another pair of shoes, lol) for only 13.00.
And my prize find: a black nylon, shaped mini tote (will fit my bulky wallet and my little day planner and my phone and glasses etc.) by Prada with it's own little dust bag tucked away in a pocket. No it's not a fake either - I've seen other real Prada bags and handled them in person so I know what the quality and fabrics & stitching should look like. I only paid 15.00 and they are selling on other online auction sites for $128 US pre-owned. Someone must have thought it's a fake because it's 'only nylon.'
Mwahahaha! You never know what you can find there if you look carefully. I bought a beautiful full length classic cut mink coat by Revillon for 800.00 that was selling for 5-7000 online (I did a lot of research and decided that if it was still there after a week, I'd buy it). Obviously not too many who shop there are able or willing to pay that kind of money, no matter what it is. I also found a 12K gold ring (a common UK gold weight from early in the past century) with a blue zircon in it (rare now - it must have been from an estate) and bought it for 35.00. Had it certified afterward by a gemologist; I liked it anyway and that's why I bought it, but it's nice to know it's the real deal.

Thanks, I didn't think about putting my ready made drink over ice and I can definitely take a Quest bar as we'll.

Thanks,
Michelle

Not sure if any of you have seen this, but my Coach gave me a newly released Phase 1 sheet yesterday dated June 2014.

Default Freedoom Friday!

Thanks to great info and support here I decided to ignore the coaches idea of me going straight to phase 4 even though I have not reached my goal weight and stick with phase 1 until I do. I know with a vacation coming up I can still do IP and have a great time as well. I just assumed the coach knew what she was talking about and agreed - I feel totally remotivated to lose that last 15.

Your clinic must be one of the test ones for new protocol sheets, there was an earlier thread (I think page 5 or 6 back) about the new sheets, but Head Office said they weren't rolled out yet. Maybe now's the time? Yep, took a look at your link & that's one of the changes we were talking about - the new unlimited salad veggies.
