Default Tax on IP food at centers?

I live in CT and was wondering if anyone else pays CT sales tax on the IP food from their center? Supposedly the state of ct does not consider IP packets, etc as food, but supplements which are taxable?
I CONSIDER THEM FOOD......SMILE!!!
Food in CT is not taxable. This does not seem fair?
Just curious if others pay state taxes?
Thx

I'm in CT also. The packets don't get charged sales tax, but the vitamins and other non packet items do.

I am in mass and we have no sales tax on good either. I have only paid tax on the vitamins not on the packets!

I have learned that some centers charge tax on the food and some don't in CT? Wonder how we could "fix" that........this IS food and should not be taxed?
