Hello all!

I am starting IP for the first time on monday! I did the hCG program a couple of years ago and lost 66lbs. Unfortunately, i gained 70lbs back. So here I am at my heavest weight ever and EXTREMELY motivated to lose the weight again, for the last time! My dad is on phase 4 and has really motivated me to get on this program and see the phases through. That was the part i messed up on with hCG. I hope to gain a lot of knowledge from everyone here! Thanks for creating such a great support group!

Alfalfa are on my approved list. Brussel are okay but very limited - 2x/week max.

Good morning!
Day 1 of Phase 1. Just had my first drink - Orange Drink. Kind of a fan, kind of not. I am generally a breakfast eater, so the whole not-chewing my breakfast is a bit weird. I am going to have to try the egg-IP food options I think. Drank about 14 oz of water and moving on.

A little scared still that I am going to be ravenous. I am still a bit hungry now and anxiously awaiting lunch. Ha

Meeting with my coach was enlivening and enlightening yesterday. The body comp indicated 50# to lose/remove based upon my lean muscle mass (which is good, I was glad to learn). We shall see.

Hello, The first 3 days were the hardest for me I had headaches and didn't feel well at all, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel!! By day 4 I started to feel much better had more energy and wasn't hungry anymore. I was satisfied. It took me about 2 weeks to really figure out what IP products I liked. Stick with it and you will figure it out. I was not a breakfast person to begin with so getting breakfast in the form of a smoothie worked well for me, I blend them with a couple ice cubes and they are great!! Good Luck to you!

This is why it's better to measure before cooking

It's hard to say without knowing the size of the cabbage when it was raw, and how you cooked it.

Most of the veggies that I cook end up to be about half the size after cooking.

I would say it was a med. Head, I chopped it, then sauteed it with some evoo, spices, and a bit of h20... I should have measured it, but was not thinking ahead...is there a weight equivalent?

Welcome to all the new IP'ers and for those going through hard times, I send you all hugs.

Went for my WI this morning after 1 week on Phase 2. I was down 1lb and I have to admit it was a little sad and scary that the scale is now moving at a slower pace then it did just a week ago. I know it is simply an adjustment in the way I'm thinking and that I should be really happy that I reached the goal that I had set for myself. On to Phase 3 now and it's a whole new learning curve which I'm looking forward too (that and the breakfast) . Have a great day everyone!

I feel the same about the breakfast. I am on day 2 and have only the chocolate drink for breakfast and I'm starving a couple of hours later. I am going back to my coach today to get some egg products!

Not one that's accurate, because different cooking methods are going to give you different finished weights (i.e. when you roast, they lose moisture...when you sautee or boil, they absorb moisture).

I would say go with a little more than half size - 2 cups raw should be a bit more than 1 cup cooked.

What are your favorite IP foods? Having not tasted anything, I'd love some opinions on what the most popular/not so delicious food choices are before I go "shopping" tonight!

Hello, well today I am starting IP again. I hit goal July 2012 and did great for a few months. I completely stopped watching what I was eating and got back up to 183. How stupid right. I have never really posted much on here but was always lurking. It was such a great help last time I followed IP. I have been back reading everyones post for the last couple of weeks and decided today is the day to start back. Thanks for all of the great information that is posted everyday and the wonderful support you give to all on here. Wish me luck!!

Good Afternoon IP Peeps! I have a question....

Last weekend I cheated for Mother's Day and my birthday. This threw me out of ketosis and it's Thursday and I'm still out. I also haven't lost any weight since my weigh in Monday.

Would you all suggest that I cut out restricted packets until I get back in ketosis?
