Default Novi-cleanse?

How, when, and why do you use it?

I don't use it. It is very expensive and really doesn't need to be used at all. You would use it if you start to get constipated but try other things like smooth move tea before you go for anything more. Just my thoughts. I haven't ever bought it and actually my coach has never recommended it either

Here's how an IP clinic describes it.

I read the info and I think it sounds a little scary. No one at my clinic has suggested it. I drink a ton of water, some days 172 oz. and hope this is enough to keep my system flushed of toxins.

My primary care physician is following my liver and kidney enzymes with blood work every 3 months. I have not had my follow -up yet. reading that info has made me a little nervous.....

Sometimes water just doesn't help. My first time around I had a huge issue with C. If you need it, grab a bottle of psyllium husk capsules for $3 at the store. Take the recommended dose at night with plenty of water and it takes care of the issue very well. You don't need to cleanse your kidneys or anything, they are already filters.

I haven't started IP yet, my appt for the first meeting is 1/8/13. I'm just afraid I will have the opposite problem of constipation. Has anyone had this issue? I'm a preschool teacher and CANNOT leave my room constantly for the bathroom.

I can't find any reason to use the novi-cleanse at the price they charge, other than to give more money to your IP clinic. For one, your body does not need "detox" from pills. If you have a normally functioning liver and kidneys and drink plenty of water, your body is doing that job for you. For the C issues - you can buy psyllium husks at the local health food store, senna tea, even sugar-free metamucil. They all do the same thing and are a fraction of the cost from IP. Save your money for the packets

When i was doing IP (in clinic) i was experiencing regularity issues (big time). My coach suggested magnesium citrate to start, didn't work. I drank an entire bottle with no results. Next she suggested adding more EVOO and water, didn't work. Lastly, she suggested Novi-cleanse (it had just been released to them). I swear, it was the only thing that worked or helped. I took one a day (more if needed) and things were MUCH better. I have a very sensitive digestive system in general, and one of the side effects of this diet for me was regularity. Just my experience, hope it helps.

I should think you'll need to time your water consumption more carefully.

it sounds very similar to Oxy-Mag, a colon cleanse sold by many different names in health food stores.

i've used it before without issue. it was recommended to me long ago for cleansing purposes.

it might be interesting for me to try with the IP diet if plateaus are hit along the way. a little trick in my pocket. :-)
