Maybe we can all find red rubber bands to wear on our wrists and SNAP ourselves out of wanting to cheat. Feel like cruising to the fridge for a snack? SNAP yourself out of it. Feel like driving to DQ and indulging? SNAP yourself out of it.

Where's my rubber band????

On FB today from the IP site:

As long as you don't recognize that every pound has a story, you'll run the risk of putting back on every one of those pounds

If you get them as the rubber ones (think livestrong) they are about $0.50 each but you have to buy a lot (like 350). But find a wide rubberband and a sharpie and do it yourself!

Hi! I am not on IP but was just reading and saw this, and just had to respond. This is fantastic!!

Today at work I was telling myself "just one" of the mini peanut butter cups would not hurt me... then I remembered this and went to my desk and wrote a "2" on my wrist... the number of pounds I have to lose for my next mini-goal of getting into the 220s/230s thread! I still have it and plan to keep doing it. Thanks for the great idea!!!

I have the exact same goal. I have been dying to go as Wonder Woman, but haven't had the figure to do that in YEARS.

Not to mention the outfit I am planning to wear to King Richard's.

Mini-Goals are great...mine is to ride my motorcycle to work (my protective gear is a bit snug and it makes it less enjoyable). I have 4.2 pounds to go to that goal, hoping to get there before the weather gets ugly and I have to wear my heated gear as well!

What REALLY helps me is using MyFitnessPal. I always have my phone on me, and religiously tracking my food intake has kept me on course. When I'm tempted to stray, I scroll back through the last month of data and my progress chart. Sometimes I add the "temptation" food to see what it would do to my overall daily caloric/carb/sugar/fat consumption. Seeing the numbers skyrocket is enough to make me say "no, no, no!"

Definitely! Meetup FTW! Though with an infant and a 3 yo I haven't dusted of my WoW character in almost 2 years. I would still love to go.

That gives me a little over 4 months to lose my last 40lbs. A doable goal (I hope).

ROFL! Totally doable, I lost my first 40 in 15 weeks We will have to coordinate when it gets closer, my husband will probably be running games for Wizards if they do Dungeon Delves again.

What are you going as?

I've always wanted to look AMAZING in a Catwoman costume, so I feel that is what keeps me motivated!
