the best advice is to look up online where you might like to go, check out the menu in advance and then CALL to ask about special orders and how they accommodate dietary needs.
i just say upfront when ordering, i have a special order due to dietary requirements and have had NO issues ordering.
i will even look over the menu and if i see ANYTHING i can have, even if its only offered with a special dish, i will request it and make up my own order
outback works very well, i always get the victoria filet, mixed grilled veggies no butter, and pack my mock wine in a bag and ask for a wine glass of very cold water!!
ocharleys has never complained to do any specifics on an order and have a nice grilled chicken salad
bob evans is super friendly and will cook anything you want and even bring out the cider vinegar and oil in little bowls!!
for lunch subway is great for a salad, but i dont like their meats. but you can make a HUGE salad and if you have a minifridge can keep the extra in your hotel room
hampton inn has hard boiled eggs at breakfast!!! so an IP shake and 2 hard boiled eggs without the yolks gives you a great start in the morning!!
hope that helps
