Default Racing Heart

Good Morning!

Just wondering if any one else has had a racing heart? Mine has been racing here and there through out my first two weeks.

Admittedly, if my body is burning fat it probably has to work harder?! does that make sense? I will ask at my weigh in tomorrow but was just curious about others experience.

(i only have one caffeine drink a day!)

How's your thyroid level? When I went for my checkup with my Endocrinologist my levels were high (TSH I"m pretty sure). He asked if I had racing heart, shaking hands, etc. I don't, so he left my meds at the same level and is going to recheck on October.

You might want to get it checked out.

I have that once in a while, but it passes quickly. I figure if there's no pain there's nothing to worry about.
I'm not on the IP diet, just counting calories, but I think it does have to do with any change in diet and your system adjusting.

Could be dehydration if you aren't getting enough of your water. Also, make sure you don't miss you vitamins, especially the potassium/calcium

This!!! The salt, water, and potassium especially are super important for your blood pressure and should not be taken lightly!

My 'day' job is a nurse practitioner in a cardiology/arrhythmia practice - believe me, make sure you drink your water and take your vitamins!!

My heart races when I take in too much sodium in a day. I've limited the Realsalt to 1/4 tsp on most days due to the hi sodium content of the IP foods. If it's really hot, or I'm sweating a lot, I take in more water and add a little realsalt to it
