Strictly IP and have been very pleased with most of the food...not a fan of the soups, though (except the chicken).

IP only. I tried doing alternatives on my own, but couldn't stick with it w/o my weekly meetings with my fabulous coach. I just can't imagine doing this without her support. Most of the IP food just tastes so much better than any alternatives I tried, too! My favorite are the dill pickle zippers - such a treat! Not a huge fan of the bars, though...

Also the site has free shipping over $99. Nashua is also a source for the Proti products. I do love saving money. My husband's favorite IP product is the Caramel Nut bar. The HealthSmart Caramel Crunch bar he thinks may even taste better than the IP. The calories are about the same though they are perhaps slightly smaller in size.
Yes, I'm updating my own news... The Starter Kit above does contain aspartame in some of the items. I checked last night and the only legal pudding/shake is New York Cheese Cake and most of the hot chocolates had aspartame. Sigh. I'll save them for "someday" if I don't throw them out first.

Which alternative products did you choose?

I use protidiet. I just want to point out that the products we get in Canada are less likely to have aspartame in them than the same product bought in the US.

I was 100% IP foods for phase 1 & 2 and now in P3 & maintenance I'm switching to EAS shakes and will try some pure protein bars. Both are sold right up the street at Target. The EAS chocolate shake is not as tasty (IMO) as IP's but I can get use to it...after all I got use to IP's chocolate drink and fell in love with it!

Strictly IP with only drinks. I personally wasn't a fan of the soups and such and I am a HUGE creature of habit so I like my daily routine of drinks, salads and suppers.

For 5 months I was strictly IP. Lost 60 pounds. But now due to money I have recently switched to using Alternatives. I am still losing and the taste doesn't bother me, I see no difference. This is a whole lot more convenient. I plan on using alternatives until the end of june to see where I am at. Take the summer off and then if money allows me I will hop back into IP Products for the remainder of my losses in the fall.

I am slowly making the switch from IP over to alternatives because of the cost. I have been using both for the past few weeks and I am down a total of 27 in just 9 weeks!! So I would say it is not affecting my weight loss!

The EAS Low Carb drinks are pretty good IMO, I have tried them all, but my favorites are Milk Chocolate Fudge and Strawberry. They really seem to fill me up! I also ordered a few products from Nashua Nutrition that have been decent so far!! I typically have two EAS Dinks a day and one BAR of some sort, either IP or from Nashua Nutrition. Somedays I have 3 EAS shakes. Still follow the rest of the IP protocol.

The Proti-Thin Chocolate Covered Soy balls seem to be the same as IP.
The Proti-Diet Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal also is pretty good and with only 6carbs and 15protein, I believe it counts as a NON restricted??

I was looking for a replacement for the IP Choc Raspberry bar(my favorite) and I tried the Proti-Diet Raspberry Choc Square. Not quite the same but good!

If anyone knows of any alternatives for the IP Southwest Cheese puffs I would love to hear from you
