Smile I figured out why I like IP.

From the day I spoke with a Canadian friend of mine who lost about 65 lbs on IP, I knew I'd do it and I knew I'd be successful at it. It took me about 4 months to kind of mentally prepare to do it though. I am Italian so giving up pasta and bread for me was like converting religions or something.

What I like about it and why I know I would be successful is because it's very black and white. You can either have something or you can't. I am a life time Weight Watchers member and I am a very big advocate of that program for most people, however NOTHING is off limits. You just have to count the points.

I find in my brain I do much better with not having something all together than trying to have it in moderation. As a matter of fact one of my worst WW memories was measuring out a cup of pasta. So now- no pasta!

Is that crazy??

I am not going to lie... I don't LOVE being on IP or any OTHER program for that matter, but I know it's working and I know I am going to stick with it.

Thanks for listening!

I started the same day you did. And I too like the program. I have been on WW many times before but I always ate my points in junk...justifying it of course. Although not eating sweets, junk, breads etc seems impossible to me, I am actually seeing the changes in my body. My cravings are less, my hunger pains are manageable and I no longer think about food 24/7. There is a science to this diet which i need and love. I am down 3 pounds already and feel good.
Best of luck to you.

Best of luck to you too Mickey Mom! I feel like a big part of IP is beating the sugar addiction, and that can only benefit us for life.

I agree completely. I always said I could never live without my carbs, sugar, breads, pastas etc. It was just the addiction talking. I am doing it and feel great. It is what i needed.

i am in total agreement. I went off too early the first time and didn't phase off properly. I just figured that I could do this myself but I ended up justifying crappy foods and not eating what my body really needed. I love that its either fine to eat or not. I need that guidance. I do look forward to 1 (and I now truely believe this) fun day.

I like the fact that the ONLY thing we have to worry about in Phase one is to measure the 2cups of veggies and the 8 ozs of meat. Don't have to worry about counting or measuring anything else. Now we can concentrate on that and learning the program so that when we do phase off properly we can stay successful with the losses.

Default Kicking the sugar habit

My main goal in signing on to IP was to kick my sugar addiction. I could feel it in every eating decision I made and I KNEW if I could kick it I would drop weight and feel so much better. The fact that IP allowed it to happen in 3 days was absolutely amazing to me. My cravings are now gone, my energy levels are consistent throughout the day ( no more 2:30 sleepies...) and my head seems 10 times clearer. This diet is changing my life, I can feel it. Such a great decision to go for it! I swear, the weight loss is secondary to how good I feel.

Absolutely agree! Easiest diet ever because it is so structured! I have done WW too and agree much to flexible for me.

I absolutely agree. I love the way it just makes my emotions so balanced. I never seem to feel all over the place if that makes any sense. Plus of course I love watching the the scale go down. Hands down my favorite diet, and like most of us I'm sure we could all tell horror stories about some of the diets we have been on. Anyone remember the (I think it was called) Hollywood pineapple diet?
