I love this recipe as well, it does feel like a cheat, i try not to do it too often, but only bc my stomach isnt a huge fan of red meat! but it is so delicious! My roommate is constantly trying to steal some of it off my plate, actually she loves alot of the foods i eat, and she is not on the diet. She had me buy some bars for her bc she loved them so much! :-D

I love it whent eh NON-Dieters envy our foods!

I am soooo trying this recipie. The WF Thousand Island dressing is the only dressing of theirs that I have tried and didn't like. ( I have tried Itialian, Ranch, Ranch Calorie free, Balsamic, Creamy Bacon) I look forward to trying it this way. Is the Veggie Cheese ok during Phase I? I love big macs. I love ground beef.

I LOVE my Big Mac in a Bowl!!!! Lately, I totally prefer using turkey burgers instead of beef. (Yuck JennyO brand....there are way better turkey burgers than those terrible things!)
Enjoy. And....as I have been told a gazillion times by the most experienced, eating lean protein, like shrimp and fish, every night, does not help with the weight loss!!!! I am finally getting this!!! I like my lean turkey burgers, 9g of fat, with 20 grams of protein each!!!!!!!!

What turkey burgers do you like? Does anyone know any acceptable veggie burgers? Also, is there a verdict on veggie cheese in phase 1? Thanks!

So glad someone posted this up, it is now in "The Big Recipe Book", under beef, with a link from the salad section, just so no one gets lost!

You can also cut your ground beef amounts by using 1/2 ground beef (or ground chicken/turkey) and 1/2 diced portabello mushrooms ... really reduces the calories AND it adds yummy flavor. I do this with burgers and meatloaf :O)

I love the Big Mac Bowl, my DH requests it and he is not on IP. I add a little dijon mustard to mine. This is a great meal when we are camping because I can have everything prepared ahead of time and then just reheat the ground beef and mix everything together. Instead of having over just lettuce I will throw in some spinach and that helps me get in my 4 cups of veggies.

I made this last night for dinner and it was great! My husband and my 6 year old son were looking longingly at my plate (I shared some with the 6 year old). Next time I will have to make enough for everyone. I finally found a use for that WF Thousand Island dressing. I don't know how many times I almost threw that dressing away becasuse it's taking up space in the fridge. Good thing I didn't. I also added a little bit of mustard to cut the taste of the WF. Next time I will either try ground turkey or mix the beef and turkey. Thanks for the suggestion.

What do you do? Just mix it up all together and eat like that? (with the cooked ground meat of course)

No I made it like a salad. I put it on a plate not in a bowl. Put the pickles and onions around the top of the lettuce, then I sprinkeled the ground beef on top. I drizzled the 1000 island and mustard on top of that and then I enjoyed it!
