Had my WI yesterday, down 2 more pounds, tonight I am struggling and really wanted a treat so added diet jello to my ip jelly - hope it doesn't mess me up, but sure tasted good.
It's normal. If you want, you can buy a cheap grinder. You can also use French sel de mer or Hawaiian pink sea salt. Both are more nutritious than the RealSalt but pricier (and taste better).

Hopefuly my temptations to everything that has to do with food will go away!

You're not alone - I have a tendency to think about food all the time too (or at least I did for the first couple of months). I don't look at the recipes though because it makes me struggle. It's funny - for a year before I started IP, we were trying to get pregnant and that was all that I could think about. Now we've been off the wagon, so to speak, for 3+ months and my obsession has shifted to food and my diet. :-)
Well, I weighed in today and was down 3 lbs! After last week's disappointing loss, I thought it might be bigger today, but it is TOM and either way, I'll take it! I am now below my driver's license weight (which I sure as heck wasn't when I got it!) and am NO LONGER OBESE! At least not according to the BMI charts - I am merely overweight.
Well, I weighed in today and was down 3 lbs! After last week's disappointing loss, I thought it might be bigger today, but it is TOM and either way, I'll take it! I am now below my driver's license weight (which I sure as heck wasn't when I got it!) and am NO LONGER OBESE! At least not according to the BMI charts - I am merely overweight.

I was told to use RealSalt All Natural Sea Salt and a little sample came in my package when I signed up that goes good in my purse. It says that it is all natural sea salt mined from an ancient sea bed in Utah and it contains 50 natural trace minerals. It is not the white sea salt that you see in the stores, it is a sandy color and I had to get it at a health food store.
I have the same salt, and no, you aren't imagining things! Thank you, cause I thought I was!

The problem with "diet jello" is the aspartame in it. which, it is my understanding, the body responds the same to aspartame as it does to sugar. (correct me if i am wrong, it is quite possible)

I just needed to report my evening here.. Tonight I had a night with one of my friend talking and drinking coffee.. and then at 9 p.m. he was hungry and he order 2 big cheeseburger with fries.. pffffff I didn't cheat, not even one bit. I was proud of myself.. and then he got a little sick because of all that junk food.. I way prefer my IP packets to this enormous amount of food !! anyways and tonight I was about to cheat at my home with chocolate or anything I just needed some food.. But no resisted and took an other pack of IP and it calm me down. And now I'm about to go to bed and i'm glad I resisted so well tonight.

Happy Friday. Here comes the weekend which is always hard for me. I've decided this weekend I'll stay busy inside the house since it's so cold outside. Bought three gallons of paint for my office area and laundry room at my house. Picked out a brick red for the office. Hopefully that looks good with the hardwood floor. That should keep me busy ALL weekend. Gosh, how many more weekends left this winter? I should have my whole inside of my house painted by the time spring arrives!

That sounds like a nice plan! I picked a shade of brick red for my office too. I love it! I actually have a lot of red through my house. For now, it is a color I am enjoying. I hope working with the red give you a bright, energetic weekend!

ANOTHER 10 pounds!! You are having a wonderful beginning to this! It is so very different than WW, South Beach, or Atkins! It is often a rocky beginning but, once you get into a groove and past the first days, it is well worth it!

This is the day where I always manage to screw up, discouraged at no loss, that seems to rationalize a cheat for me, which turns into the weekend, then back on Monday. This cycle has to break, and today is the day! If I can make it through today and tonight, I should be good......I hope......I can! I know I can do this! Being down at our winter home has put some different challenges in front of me, but after a couple of weeks I seem to be settling back into a routine and getting back on track!!! I love that I can go for a walk without putting on a heavy coat, just go out the door and enjoy the sunshine!!!! :hug
