Thanks for all the kind messages.....I love this forum, it has kept me going since I have been doing it on my own since April. . . still on phase 2.
You guys are great! Ever think you would dream of having a carrot or a slice of watermelon? (I just had a moment and found that sooo funny!)
Spatime - You are living the dream...unbelievable. The before pictures do not even look like you. Are you sure you didn't borrow those "before" pictures? lol

Funny how I don't remember that person either, but look in the mirror now and don't see a huge difference, strange how the brain works....I didn't see myself like the before picture when I looked in the mirror, only when I would see a picture!

I read an amazing book called "The brain that changes itself" that talks about how the brain can be retrained. I don't recall anything specifically about post-weight loss self-image makeovers, it was focused on more serious conditions, after strokes, amputations etc. I bet some of the techniques could be used during and after weight loss.
Oh my gosh, I wore a Maggie Sottero, too. I loved it so much. It actually is a little like yours, it had a more matte finish and the gathers were only at the waist, but they went to the side like this. Of course, I've lost so much weight on IP that it doesn't fit now!!!
I have posted some new before and after shots of my sister and me. When I was in NH last week, I told her we needed to recreate some old classics, so we schlepped a camera and tiny tripod out on our trail run. The kitchen photo was much easier; please note the beverage choices.
My new avatar is the butt shot, as requested by my friend Wannabe. (Carla, please notice that you can't see my face in this picture!)
LOVE the pictures Novak!! My God, you both look like entirely different people. You're so lucky to have a sister you're so close to. I can't tell what you're drinking in the "After" photo, but I have to confess the libation in the "Before" shot looks more to my liking!
