I officially weighed in at 135 this past week, so I am calling it GOAL. I made a post in this section a few months ago when I hit 151, thinking that perhaps that would be my goal, but here I am again

    A little about me:
I am 26 years old. I’ve been overweight most of my life, but really became obese in high school and college. I joined 3fc in 2008 and went from about 275 to 240, only to regain it and some.

I restarted my diet and exercise in April of 2011. I had gone on a road trip with a friend and while I had a great time I couldn’t believe that was me when I looked at pictures. I had to board a plane during this road trip, and the seatbelt wouldn't fit. I was mortified. When I got back from my vacation, I weighed in at 299 pounds. Through healthy eating and exercise, I reached 135 last week. I might strive for about 5 more pounds to give me a cushion, but I think that I’m done.

    Here are some pics:
I have face pics on my blog link, but they may come down as I’m weirded out by internet sometimes lol.
In these pics I am at about 280+ in the before shots. The most recent shot of me is in the black dress and the blue shirt and I’m at 135. I went from a size 22 to a size 4.
Thanks for reading and thanks to 3fc for motivating me.
  • Wow! That's an incredible achievement you've accomplished!

I'm actually lost for words and that doesn't happen often! :-)
  • Congratulations!
  • Awesome work!!!
  • Wow congrats you look great! So jealous of your flat stomach, i was left with quite a bit of saggy skin pooch!
  • You look great! Congratulations!
  • You look amazing!! I have a question, but you totally don't have to answer if it makes you uncomfortable to talk about. How is your skin? I'm going to keep losing weight regardless, but I'm definitely worried about loose skin. I know a big factor is genetics etc but it's nice to know
  • Amazing!
  • Such an inspiration!
  • Congrats!!! You look absolutely fantastic. You're definitely an inspiration to a lot of us on here.
  • You look amazing! This really inspires me to keep going with my own weight loss journey
  • girrrl you are my hero! well done!
  • Truly inspirational!!! You look great!
  • Thank you all for your kind words

For the poster who asked about loose skin, I don't mind talking about it at all. I worried when I first started losing weight about loose skin, and all the threads I looked at said it's determined by a lot of factors (age, strength training involved, your own skin's elasticity). For me, I do have loose skin in places. My arms are bat-wingy when I lift them ( at the top). They've improved from they way they were though. My legs are pretty toned, except one little area near the top top of my thighs (and it's so slight, I probably only notice it). I''m pretty happy with how my legs and arms turned out.

The worst for me is I definitely have saggy skin on my lower stomach. It's not terrible, but I won't be able to wear a bikini comfortably. My stomach is flat, but it's not hard. It's not flabby either. It's hard to describe. it's like I have loose skin and a slight pooch.
I'm hoping a year in maintenance and more strength training will help, but if not I'm okay with that. I might consider getting surgery down the road, but that's a big step and I'm not sure I feel the need for it. Hope that answers your question, lanabug! If not, feel free to PM me or add another message to this thread.
  • You look stunning. Congratulations and great work!!!
