You're making a healthy choice by giving up fast food, but that doesn't necessarily translate into weight loss. Anyone will gain weight if they eat more calories than their body burns---even if those calories are from healthy foods. Sometimes, when we give up fatty, salty foods, we overcompensate by eating too much of other foods to get that sense of satisfaction. Perhaps that is what you are doing. You won't know that, though, unless you track your food for a time (e.g., a week) to at least see how many calories you generally consume.

I hadn't been adding in exercising, which I think is the issue. I don't have a deficit if I don't have anything to counteract the caloric intake. When I did calorie count for a week I was staying at around 1500-1600 calories a day, it just became so...annoying. I am going to start again but also realized the scale I was using was not calibrated properly.

So with that discovery, I weighed in on Saturday evening, even after having ate food that day and.............. I was 11lbs less than I was 3 weeks ago! So apparently having a properly calibrated scale is a big deal!
