Does anyone have a fitbit? It looks like the poor person's bodybugg. I'd like to hear if it's good (accurate) and if it's helped you track your calories. How does it track your activity besides the steps taken? It also says it tracks your sleep, would this be able to tell if I have sleep apnea?

I have one and love it. There are a few other threads around here about it. I'll look around and see if I can find them.

It is basically a more advanced pedometer. The sleep function is probably helpful if you are worried about apnea but won't tell you how well you're sleeping if you have insomnia but stay in bed quietly (me). I like having challenges and I track things like how many flights of stairs I go up and what percentage of my day is sedentary (way too much!). If I had the money I would go for the bodybugg or whatever they are calling it now, but the FitBit doesn't require a subscription so is more affordable for me. It's definitely motivated me again and I needed that.

Found a few, there are more threads comparing the various devices:

I was given a FitBit when I became a participant in a research study being conducted by the University of Pennsylvania. I love it. I find it very accurate and the sleep feature is also accurate because it does show me when I wake up and how long I was awake even when I'm laying quietly. I wear it all day everyday. It is a good investment.

Bought one and love it! However I am in danger of becoming a total bore to others reading out my stats several times a day. Shocked at how many times I wake up during the night, I never remember them.
