I grew up without a tv (or running water etc) but when we got a TV when I was about 10-11, we only got one channel broadcast from the nearest city about 7 hours away...we watched a lot of local news, Price is Right and state basketball games lol....
when I was about 12-13 we got a satellite dish and then we watched a lot of old shows...we weren't ever left home alone so we only watched what mom and dad wanted to see....I liked the Andy Griffith show the best, I think, but we also watched I Love Lucy and a few others that I've forgotten
I like watching now the re-runs of Friends and Frasier...those are my two favorites...I never did watch much tv though
i watch ME TV also and the highlight of my week is Lost in Space (was born in 62 so i watched it as a kid and loved it), Star Trek and weekdays sometimes i'll have Bonanza and Big Valley on.
i loved Here Comes The Brides (being from WA state, anyway) but i haven't seen that on TV.
I swear they should still play all those shows still!! There's like 2000 channels, why cant they make room for the classics?? lol I do think that most tv shows though are now available on dvd, but those box sets are expensive!!
My favorite show of all time is Golden Girls. A superclose second is Gomer Pyle USMC. Actually, they might be tied for my "favorite TV show of all time" slot; sadly, Gomer hasn't been on tv in a while, as far as I know.
An honorable mention to some of my other favorites: Family Ties, Growing Pains, The Facts of Life, The Brady Bunch
2nd Tier favorites: Threes Company, Cheers, Mad About You, Seinfeld
I could never get into neither MASH nor I Love Lucy. Actually, whenever they come on TV, I have to change the channel. LOL
ETA: How could I forget Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie as honorable mentions!
I used to love watching boy meets world and sabrina the teenage witch in the mornings! Also full house and fresh prince. Friends will always be a classic for me
When I was a kid, I liked Mary Tyler Moore, Rhoda, Bob Newhart Show, one Day At a Time, Threes Company. Yeah, the last one was very risqué at the time; we had to sneak it because my mother didn't allow us to watch it!
Oh, and we loved My Three Sons, Donna Reed, and Bewitched, all in reruns.

Omg I thought so! I saw this TV special one time about how it was really edgy for its time!! If they only knew where tv was going, now there's no shame in sitcoms!
