Modern Warfare 2 isn't really my cup of tea, but Civ 5 has been a major addiction of mine (I'm trying to cut back because sitting in front of my computer isn't really considered an active lifestyle, even if I am preparing to declare war on Montezuma).
I used to play World of Warcraft regularly, but sort of drifted away from it; I still enjoy the game in theory, but in practice I just never seem to have time these days to play much. Again, sitting on my duff killing Arthas isn't conducive to a healthy lifestyle, so it isn't a great loss.
My husband just finished Fallout: New Vegas, and though I didn't play, I enjoyed watching him. Only trouble is that I now have "I've Got Spurs That Jingle-Jangle-Jingle" and "Johnny Guitar" stuck in my head and I fear it may be permanent!
I can understand MW2 not being a favorite of many. It's not a really challenging game for online. The main story was hard for me, but playing against people online is pretty simple.
I really want to play Fallout New Vegas and the new Star Wars The Force Unleased game. Also, Fable III looks good too.
I love the Harvest Moon games! I've spent more hours than I care to think about playing them. My favorite action series is God of War. I'm actually sad that the trilogy is over. I think that was supposed to be the last of them (besides the PSP ones), but I hope Kratos comes back.
totsandfries, have you played Red Dead Redemption yet? Think GTA in an old west setting--very cool, and just as satisfying to kill people.
There's a new Halloween expansion for Red Dead Redemption too--this time there are zombies everywhere. I guess that'd make it Red (Un)Dead Redemption? I haven't played it yet, but I plan to (and then sleep with the lights on).
I'm a gamer's wife (as well as a military wife ) Hubs plays everything. He's waiting for the next Call of Duty game to come out. (I hope I got the name right, lol). He's dying for the Kinect too. That actually looks pretty awesome. There's already a dance game that I want, lol!!
I play World of Warcraft more than I like to admit. I figure I need to somehow rig up my computer to my treadmill so that the treadmill is generating its power, and I can't play unless I keep up a steady 3.5 mph pace. I'd be a size 6 in no time!
I play console games too, but not as frequently lately. Bayonetta is the one I'm currently playing, but have played Fable, the Resident Evil series (adore those), Gears of War, and I heart me some Rock Band.
I play EQ2. I used to play a LOT of EQ1 (big time raid guild) and it directly contributed to my weight gain.
Now, I play much more casually. I like EQ2 because there is SO much to do, I can log in for a hour and feel productive. I don't have to sit at the keyboard for 8 hours at a time.

For the Horde! (Well, unless you're Alliance. )
You could make a mint patenting such a treadmill. Better hope your raid leader's in good physical condition before starting a heroic boss fight, though.
