Default I'm still finding my way around here but...

Is this the official baseball chatter thread? I am ALL about that!

Another Cardinals fan here (love your avatar Clydegirl). Still bummed about the Ludwick trade as you could probably gather from my user name. I saw him rehab in Memphis just the week before and he looked great and back in condition and now it didn't even matter.

Oh well. I wish it wasn't an off day because it's my only night off work this week and the same for next week too! And that's no bueno.

Anyway...yay for baseball and this thread, gonna try to catch up a little on it. I think I saw Dodgers & Rockies fans, what other teams are represented?

Hi Luddy. Welcome to the best thread on 3fc.

Great to have another Cards fan.

I also hated the Ludwick trade. Mind you Westbrook looked good the other night when he pitched.

Do you go to many games in Memphis?

We also have 2 Red Sox fans.

Back home tomorrow. Redbirds down in Miami.

Thanks! Westbrook did look good, so that eased it a bit. Sending him to the Padres makes me weary if the Cards make it to the playoffs and have to face them.
I've kinda become a bit of a Padres fan with a Ludwick/Eckstein filled team. (except against the Cards, of course). I can't imagine the emotions when they go to Busch in September.

That was my first game in Memphis. We were there for one night (en route to a family reunion). Crazy timing. I saw the Redbirds in OKC a couple of months ago. Those are the only two games I've been to this year. I don't get a chance to see the Cardinals much, haven't seen them since they clinched in Colorado last year which was amazing. But they're on TV in Tulsa everyday so I watch religiously!

Its been forever since I've visited this board and the baseball thread! Hope everyone is doing well!

I wish I could say my Mets were doing well. After playing better than most people thought they would for most of the first 3 months of the season, they've recently crashed and burned big time. A month ago they were 2 games out of 1st place and leading the wild card.... now they are 3rd in the division 8 games back, and 7.5 gms back of the WC with 5 teams in front of them. They've been particularly awful since the All-Star break... 6-14!

I am hoping they can somehow turn things back around and at least finish up the season strong.

Razz welcome back. Haven't seen you in ages.

Luddy the Padres are red hot this year. I am also rooting for him. He was a great team player.

Anyways my man is pitching tonight down in Miami. I don't know how that tean keeps going the fact that they have no fan support.

Wow, I haven't been on this thread in forever. Oops.

DH & I are watching the Ken Burns Baseball documentary - today was 1940-1950. I'm fascinated by the whole thing.

Going for a win today. Have to keep pace with those Reds.
