Publisher: bnpublishing.net (October 21, 2008) 2008!!!!!!!! Good grief. My copy of Strunk and White is so old it's printed on birch bark. I loved that book.

It is an old observation that the best writers sometimes disregard the rules of rhetoric. When they do, however, the reader will usually find in the sentence some compensating merit, attained at the cost of the violation.
Alas, they say it right there in black and white, Operator is right, the rules may be disregarded. But I am owed some "compensating merit."

Thank you, thank you, alinnell for reminding me of that jewel.

But yipes, now they're selling new copies on Amazon for only $2.99 LIST PRICE. Whatever is this world coming to?

[See, there it is again. "Into what is this world ever coming," just doesn't make it.]

Rules of ThreadKiller:

1)Operator is ALWAYS right.

2)If Operator is ever wrong, refer back to Rule 1.

But, there are no rules here so, whateva.

I've listened to preachers
I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you have the role

Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
I'm goin' off of the rails on the Crazy Train

I've got enough to share, sure.
Never thought to mix it in a White Russian.. going to have to try that. Thanks for adding that to my Drink List.

I love the songs... too bad I am not talented enough to sing one on my own... maybe after a few more drinks?!?!? We shall see...

Just give in to the madness. It is a lot easier than fighting it!

Oh, hey! Shouldn't we be talking about Gary behind his back? He's not going to be here for a couple of days.

Not as much fun as picking on Bill, though.... at least he gets to hear/see it!

Multi-tasking. Got streaming CNN on one window and 3FC on another. Work? Meh, who cares?

A nap... I would participate but then Bill would have his way and we'd all be quiet. Unless.... I know I can't sleep in the quiet, I could blare some nature sounding music. Would that help !??!

A man...multitask...are you crazy? Their kind can't even make a poo in less than 45 min.

That's why all the laxative commercial are for women. What woman, after having children, has a whole hour to dedicate to rolling a log. I mean, really, the house would come down around them in that much time.

Nope, not me. I get in, get done, get out and find out what in **** my kids have gotten into while I was "busy". I certainly don't want my epitaph to read, "Died while on the toilet allowing her children time to burn the house down around her."
