Default cottage cheese...haven't eaten this in months!

I enjoy cottage cheese. I especially like it with sliced tomato and salt/pepper, or with watermelon (tastes like ice cream to me), or drained pineapple with a sprinkling on granola. For whatever reason, since July I've not eaten it at all. I'm wondering if I'm just thinking of it as "too diet a diet food?" This Sunday I plan to buy a small container, some canned pineapple in juice and a fresh box of Kashi golean crunch and see if I even like it anymore.

Have you noticed any foods that are deemed "healthy" that you find yourself avoiding?

I mix it w/vanilla protein powder, dash of vanilla extract, tiny bit of salt, and either Splenda or honey. Sometimes I switch the protein powder for unsweetened cocoa powder. And sometimes I switch the cottage cheese for Greek yogurt or kefir. Very good.

I eat cottage cheese every morning w/breakfast. But I've always eaten it alone and have never mixed it with something else. I have texture issues, and the cottage cheese is enough texture for me...lol...

I like cottage cheese with chives and a good sprinkling of pepper, I plan to have some today at lunch.
I like it with pineapple, too. I usuually get lowfat, made with 2% milk.

When I was a kid my mom was on a weight loss program that recommended rice cakes with cottage cheese, topped with blended frozen blueberries (un-thawed), and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

My brothers and I would steal bites of her breakfast every time she made it. They also had a simple smoothie recipe of skim milk, frozen strawberries and liquid sweetener that I loved.

The good old days

For me it is plain, raw celery and plain, raw carrots. I ate those for so many years, and although I like them with a little salsa, or even cooked with some sort of seasoning, I just can not eat them plain anymore.

Another "no go" is the WW free veggie soup. I can't imagine I will ever eat another serving of it, after having it too often to get through a rough patch!

I love cottage cheese but never can keep it in the house because its gone before I get any. The kids love it. but when I do get some its with ground pepper(used to be with salt but I have high blood pressure now so I go without)

Someone recommended this to me and I have loved it ever since. I toast an English muffin, sprinkle a good amount of cinnamon on each piece, top with a little pumpkin butter and then top that with cottage cheese. I am totally in love with this and actually eat it as a dessert.

Love cottage cheese, but can't do it as a sweet dish. Icks me out to think of it with fruit. I have it as a side all the time, like with a sandwich or a salad. I like the idea of chives...I might have to try that.
I had an aversion to rice cakes. Seemed like the ultimate, bland, dry diet food. I bought some for the first time the other day and they were quite delish. Imagine my surprise.
