good morning I did 2 miles this morning.

I used the Burn Body Fat 2 mile with 1 lb hand weights in each hand. Have I mentioned that I really like Leslie's soft hand weights that come with that set.

I also want to share something else - I started following a low glycemic index diet 2 weeks ago and I have lost 5 lbs, which is MAJOR for me!!! I struggle and struggle and lose nothing but it seems that cutting out all the sugar and most of the white stuff is really making a difference for me AND my scale is lower than it has been in 2 years. I'm psyched!!!

hope everybody has a great day!
hugs,
Cathy

Cathy: Good job on your two miles and on the 5 pounds you lost!!! You go girl!!!

*I'm trying lowering my exercise down to 3 times a week instead of five. We'll see how it goes!

cathy all I can say is wow, I have been doing ww now for almost a year and have stalled most of the time...they say because I have not much to lose?? right! Can you tell me more about low glycemic? some basic stuff?

btw I did the 5mile fat burn sun and mon but am taking a break today...my body screamed at me last night and I could only do 4 of the 5 miles...which really upset me since I have been doing the 5 mile for almost 3 weeks solid only taking 1 day off a week.

Tomorrow back to the grindstone...but I love it

Nancy - I absolutely love WW and think it is a great program but the last time I tried it I lost like 3 lbs in 6 months. I am just a really hard case ;-)

Basically low glycemic is about eating low glycemic food which means basically lean protein and veggies and fruits but NO sugar. you can have a little long grain rice or brown rice and new boiled potatoes but that is basically all the "white stuff" you get. Also on the initial phase of it you only get 1 slice of 3 grain bread a day. you can read the basics at gidiet.com I got the book and I'm just eating the "green light" foods. the amazing thing is, is that I am NOT hungry, and I was staying hungry all the time. I guess it's really try that sugar makes you hungry.

this morning I am down 5.7 lbs!!!! I am so excited!!!

Good afternoon, Ladies,
Yesterday didn't go well for me. The 1st day of school is always chaotic, and I ended up having to help out in the office, which I didn't expect. And everywhere I turned there were donuts and other sweets. And I was so hungry all day. Exercise was a total washout with the evening things going on. For once I can honestly say I missed it, and so did my blood sugar. This morning I got up ready to start anew and so far it's gone much better. Went with a friend to a 1 hr water aerobics class and had fun. But, whoo we worked it hard! So, I'm pretty happy with this day. We'll see what the evening brings. Have a good day, all.

Hi Haley!!! Welcome to the thread!!! Great job on your walks! I live over someone in an apartment too so I agree with you on how great Leslie's DVDs are for that!

I love the WATP DVDs! I have messed up knees, so I have a hard time doing anything that isn't low impact. Also, they really make me sweat!

I typically do the Walk At Home 3 Mile Weight Loss Walk. I *just* graduated to 3 pound weights.

Anyway, did the 3 miles today

I did one mile yesterday, and two miles today.

I sent back the 3 Mile DVD, and I own the WalkDiet DVD.

I felt really sick yesterday, thus the one mile, but today I was feeling well and I really missed the 3 miles, it was so much more challenging.

Looking forward to tomorrow!
