Default Personal Training.. any success

So I invested a butt load of money into a personal trainer and so there is really no going back, but I was wondering if anyone else has used a trainer to help get them to goal? I am only 20-30 lbs from goal (so halfway there) but havent been losing a whole lot the last couple months..

So.. has anyone used a trainer and had success? Would you say it was worth the money?

Thanks!

I have, but they really only help you become fit underneath the fat. The fat is up to you and your eating program. It's very difficult to lose just by exercise. You have to make dietary changes. If you're not losing working with your trainer, I would look into your diet.

I've been working out with a trainer since the beginning of the year & I feel like it's really helped. I started the year at 220 pounds & now weigh 192. I like it because she pushes me to do things I don't like to do (Ab work!!!) Plus, I can now work out on my own and have a plan in mind when I go into the gym. We focus on weight training, kettlebells, & ab work.

I sign up for 10 sessions at a time since it's a discounted rate. The end of my 10 sessions will be up this month, so I'm trying to decide if I'll sign up for another 10 or do it on my own for a while.

Thanks ladies!

Heatthesweatpants- I do also count calories and watch sugar, sodium, and carbs. I have to bring my food journals in for him to analyze each week and he gives me tips and advice on how to improve! So I feel like he is tuning into every aspect to get me to my goal weight!

jenjen- Im very glad to hear it is going well for you! YAY! I signed up for 20 sessions (at my gym, they had a special 20 for the price of 12- no brainer!! ) haha! I am hoping we can get me down to my goal weight! That would be FANTASTIC!

Signing up was a real life saver for me. I would not have started working out again on a regular basis without the expenditure and the accountability of seeing my trainer. I now do small group personal training which is cheaper. I did train for 8 months with no weight loss until I wised up and changed my diet.
