I don't find Pilates boring, maybe because they are not that easy for me yet. I have a few DVD's that I rotate. I really like Kathy Smith for abs and lower body. She doesn't move too quickly and gives lots of reminders throughout.

I don't like Denise Autins (sp?) DVD, I can't get over her voice, although I think it would be good for yoga. The exercises are good though and I put her DVD on maybe once every two weeks.

I would buy Windor Pilates if I could find it on DVD. I don't have a VHS machine in my bedroom where I do my workouts.

I've noticed an improvement in my abs since I've been doing them for about 2 months now. Each workout is only about 20 min. long and sometimes I put on two DVD's depending on my mood.

If you don't want the infomerical set, meaning if you can do w/the meal plan, etc, you can buy Windsor Pilates DVDs or VHS individually at www.collagevideo.com. This is a great place to get any workout video/DVD. They have small clips so you can see what you're getting, they have GREAT service and tons of variety. Plus they've rated them, employees try them out before advertising them

I also believe Target sells some of the Windsor DVDs too.

This is also a great place for help and info on video workouts:

Irish - I've only done two different ones, Winsor and the Pilates for Dummies. The difference between those two is that Dummies seems to spend a little more time on when to breathe, and it uses a better way to show the alternative positions, imo. Personally I think the Dummies is better for absolute beginners. I think her basic workout is a tad more comprehensive than Winsor. Conversely, Winsor is a wee bit more demanding, slightly more intense. Personally I use the two together, and I really enjoy alternating them.

Mindi that is a great site. Thank you for posting it. I've bought some DVDs that I do not like so this is a better way to see if it is what I want,

I use Crunch Pick Your Spot Pilates. It's okay, but because each segment is only 10 minutes I feel like I'm not doing enough for my body. I also ordered from collage video. Altough I have found that some of the DVD's they sell u can get cheaper at amazon.com. I usually go to collage to read the reviews and check out the video clips and go to amazon and buy.
