Question Breast Cancer 3-Day

Is there anybody here in Exerciseworld who is doing the Breast Cancer 3-Day sponsored by the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation?

I signed up tonight. 60 miles to be completed in three days. Sedentary me is going to do this. What was I thinking? I was thinking that once I commit, I know there's no turning back. I was thinking about how I hate "exercise for exercise's sake" and my-oh-my I just added a reason. A big one, a good one.

Anyway. Is there anyone else out there who is doing this? Any suggestions, comments, feedback, support, jokes, or whatever would be appreciated. I have a feeling I am going to be coming here griping and needing support.

Hi there. Congratulations on your decision. You have just signed up for something that has truly been life changin for me. I walked my first 3 day in 2004 (MI). It was an amazing adventure and truly inspiring because of the people involved and the "niceness" experienced on the walk.

In 2005 (MI) I switched over to crew (I was recovering from ankle surgery and wasnt sure I could walk). I was assigned to route safety on my bicycle and loved being able to be with the walkers throughout the walk.

In 2006 I again went crew-route safety (MI). It was to much fun to switch. Then the opportunity arose for me to also crew in Kansas City so I jumped aboard. I was on camp services crew there.

For 2007, I'm crewing in both MI and Cleveland. In MI I'll be on my bike making sure everybody is safe again. I love that assignment. I'm not sure what I'll be doing in Cleveland, but I'll love the experience.

Which city are you walking? If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I'll help if I can. There are others here at 3 fat chicks that I know have and are participating in the walk. I hope you enjoy every step of preparing and participating in the 3 day.
