Default Lyrica....

Anyone taking Lyrica? My doctor prescribed it for peripheral neuropathy. It really seems to ease the discomfort from the neuropathy but I'm concerned about the potential for weight gain. Has anyone experienced this??

Hi there
I took Lyrica for a little over a year. 150-300mg a day. I didn't gain weight while taking it, however, I stopped taking it in early January 2017, and I have gained 10 pounds since being off of it... I don't know how/if that answers your question - probably not . It was a miracle drug while I took it because it relieved my nerve pain. I hope the lyrica helps you and it doesn't cause weight gain or appetite increase for you.

Thanks Sara!
Why did you stop taking Lyrica? My problem with Lyrica is the sedated feeling I have. It really does help the pain but I am not sure about the side effect of sedation. I have to drive 45 minutes to work in the morning. Some mornings it is a real struggle.
