Hey everyone! Hope everybody's doing well and still losing! My boyfriend broke up with me the day after Valentine's day totally out of the blue, I was really upset for a few days but now I feel motivated to kick my weight loss into high gear...I am not ready to think about new guys yet, but I am definitely gonna be focusing on just me myself and I here for the first time in a while! good luck to everyone...oh yeah and the scale said 151.8 lbs this morning even though I ate out 3 times this week and had ice cream twice. Back on track!!

Ha, here I was going to be all good and get on here to respond to everyone and there has only been two posts since yesterday...guess I can handle that!

Ailsapearl -- what a nasty time to break up with someone! Sorry....but glad you're still on here. I'd be drowning my sorrows in ice cream or something, so way to go with your willpower!

Congrats Miranda! 5 pounds in a week is so awesome!

I finally dared to weigh myself today and I couldn't believe the scale was down 3 pounds despite being sick for a whole week and carbing it up and not exercising. Feeling really motivated now, lol. Been running around all day high fiving the fiance and yelling out "I lost weight!". He might be witnessing the crazy escaping, lol.

Wow... losses and everything! Look at you all go!!!

RoadtoFifty - Amazing to have hit your goal already with time to spare!!!

Chickadee - I am so sorry to hear of the negative results, but glad you are able to stop the hormones for now as a benefit.

I was able to take off 1.4Lbs this week. So still losing and gaining same weight. Time to amp up the exercise and get this off for good!

Roadtofifty--congrats!! That is my first goal -- to be closer to 200 than 250 (so close now, yay!) so I completely understand your state of awesomeness right now, lol.

And congrats to ItsMyTurn to losing weight too...even if it's weight you've lost/gained before. At least your not gaining and then gaining again!

Great job ladies! I love to read how well everyone is doing. It so helps me to keep motivated. Especially in times that the scale is being just downright mean! Like this week. Up 1 pound! Despite me maintaining a deficit every day this week & exercising more than usual. Gotta love it! Not!

Anywho, I'm not letting it get to me, or at least trying not to. I'm going to stay on plan & continue just as I am.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Kim

I was below 76.4 kgs in my morning weight this morning. Yay! So that's 8 of 14 days, which means to make my February goal, I need to stay down there for 6 of the next 8 days. Eep! We'll see!

thanks for the encouragement everyone!

kandd- just keep on keepin on! that always happens to me, and if I only weigh in weekly it usually helps me from seeing those daily fluctuations! it may seem like your efforts are not being taken into account by the dumb old scale, but i promise, the benefits are gonna come soon as long as you stick to it! good luck everyone!

Holy moly I had 2 good things happen tonight and I have to share cause now I'm excited!!! I used my new HRM for the first time tonight and discovered 2 things: 1) I am in better shape than I thought (yay me)... and 2) I believe I have discovered the culprit to my plateau!!!! My elliptical machine was over-estimating my calorie burn by a significant amount... and since I eat over 75% of my exercise calories back to insure I am fueling myself properly... I wasn't getting Jack-diddly for a calorie deficit for my present weight!!!! Jackpot!!! Now that I have an accurate measure of those calories, I should be back on the losing track again! I am so excited to this realization. I know some people get disappointed to see they weren't burning half as many calories after getting a HRM.. but I am ecstatic cause it held the answers to my mystery!!!! Have a super night all - cool down and relaxing time for me!

Good morning!.
Sorry I've been MIA. I've had trouble with 3FC loading way too slow for the last week or so. After 2 or 3 minutes I give up and move on. Hopefully what is ever slowing up the works will resolve.
Things are good my weight is down to 267.0 and holding. I'm expecting a whoosh any day now. Don't think I'll make my 8lb. February goal - but you just never know
Hope you day is a good one

Hello, ladies! Looks like a lot of people are doing great.

I'm down to 153.6. I don't think I'll get to 152 this month but I might be close. Under 153 would be fine. I've decided to try eating a little more because I've been so hungry. I've been reading the Fat2Fit book and they suggest eating at the maintenance level of your goal weight; it may take a while, but you'll get to that goal eventually. I'm not eating quite that much but I did go up 200 -300 calories a day and it's been nice to not be famished most of the time. I've got 30 pounds to lose and I'm hoping to do it in 6 months. Patience is a virtue, right?

Well one week to go. I don't think I'm gonna hit my 155 mark but I'll take 157. Still trying like crazy to get the scale to move down more. It's been hanging at 158 for about a week and a half. TOM didn't help. Merrrr.

It'smyturn- it sucks that the machines & most of the website so over estimate your calories burned. I would rather have them underestimate them so. That's part of the reason I ended up buying a bodybugg. It was a huge eyeopener & explained why I didn't have much luck losing weight.

Gardenerjoy- Yay! another day. You can do this!

To those of us who will not meet our goal for February, don't be too discouraged. At least we seem to be seeing downward movement on the scales, measuring tapes & clothing fit. Interesting link here:

http://everydaypaleo.com/2011/06/22/...ddicts-part-2/

I found it pretty interesting that both her starting & ending weight was the same, but wow what a difference. The scale doesn't tell the only story, so please remember that.

Have a great day everyone. And keep moving.

kandd - That is so true!!! Again, I honestly think it was the reason for my hugely long plateau. I was happy to still be losing the inches, but could not understand why the scale wasn't going down with it. I am glad you found something that has allowed you to see actual numbers too
