Really really can't wait to get to 149 again. It's been way too long since I've been there. I need to remind myself how fabulous of a christmas present that will be.

For the person who asked what our diet plans are, I don't really have one as such. I journal what I eat (without counting calories) but I'd guess I have between 1200 and 1800 every day. I don't ban any food group at all but I am being sensible with choices. I don't exercise as such but I'm trying to be more active by walking more and things like that.

A big good luck wish to everyone, keep it going.

CountyBarbie, it's never too late to join a challenge. Welcome!!!

Okay, confession time, gang. I have been a very bad girl since Thanksgiving and more than disappointed with myself, especially since I was the one who started this challenge. I gave myself a planned cheat day for Thanksgiving, thinking I had dieted long enough to have the willpower to get back on plan the very next day. It didn't happen! I can use the excuse that it was my husband's vacation or we were so tired from all the house repairs and hosting Thanksgiving to cook healthy foods, etc... But that's all they'd be...excuses.

But I'm proud to say that I am back 100% today, moving forward and not looking back. No one is perfect, certainly not I. So I'm back on the saddle and my resolve is now stronger than ever. AND...I'm keeping my Christmas weight loss goal exactly the same. I just have to work even harder to get there now.

I decided not to weigh myself today, even though Mondays are officially my weigh-in day. Why set myself up for disappointment when I know that the scale will show a 3- to 5-pound gain (mostly water, I know, but still would be a bummer to actually see the number, you know?). I know I'll get it off and then some within this next week, so I'll just wait until next Monday to weigh in.

Lambie, congrats on surpassing your Thanksgiving goal and to your husband for his bench press achievement! Way to go to both of you!

It seems that most people have great success with calorie counting. I still love to low carb, but if the pounds don't come off as quickly as I want for this challenge, I may add calorie counting in with my low carbing.

Looks like we are off to a great start (my 4-day binge aside). Let's keep up the good work everyone!

Awe I knew it was just water weight Yesterday though I was rather naughty...I went over cals a bit and ate out but it wasn't too over so I don't feel terribly guilty.

@sandcar150 one cheat day for me always turns into like a week of cheating so I completely understand what you've been going through. But now you're back on track and that's wonderful!

Hope everyone has a fabulous tuesday!

Oh, Sandy! Good for you getting back on track!! I know how easy it is for one day to turn into a weekend, to turn into a week, to turn into a month. It is awesome that you realized it and are ready to get back on the wagon. Some people never do. I'm sure the weight will come off in a few days.

I've kept it at about 1200 calories for the most part since September 4. If I stall I'll bump it up for a day or two and then get back to 1200.

Okay I would like to do this challenge. I'd like to lose 10 pounds by Christmas. I currently weigh 315 so 310 by then. I'd like to lose 15 but I think that's a lot for less than a month

Welcome heagler! Wouldn't a 10-pound loss put you at 305? Maybe you meant to say a 5-pound loss. Either way, good luck to you.

Thank you all for the support. My first day back on plan went without a hitch. Not even one hunger pang. I feel better already.

I know Lindsy recently started her new job, but I sure hope she checks in soon.

11/25 - 163
11/26 - 162
11/27 - 162
11/28 - 162
11/29 - 162

Stayed at exactly the same weight for last 3 days (162.2) I'm feeling there will be a woosh soon tho. My 'cheat days' are ones were I eat normal calories for my size (2000-2200), and then this helps me get back on track again the next day. If I eat any more than that, then I end up falling off the wagon for a week, not good.

Vicki-Way to go on your 2-pound loss!!

3CatsMeow-Now that's the way to plan a cheat: Count your cheat day calories. I have to remember this for Christmas. Good luck on your whoosh!

Wow, what a difference waking up today than the previous 4 mornings when I woke up to a puffy face and eyes and a feeling like there was a rock sitting in my stomach. Today I feel light as air (okay, maybe not "as air" but much lighter than recently). I still do not dare weigh myself for fear of seeing a higher number; although, my husband, who also went off his diet on Thanksgiving and the 3 days that followed and got back on his diet yesterday with me, lost 2 pounds of the 3 1/2 that he had gained. That makes me feel very hopeful.

Now, if I could only get on the ball with my exercise routine.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Can't wait for The Biggest Loser tonight...makeover week!!!

Add me to the group that extended "holiday" feasting

Weighed in = 159.3 and ready to roll. I'm trying Fat Smash to kick-start things, eliminate some triggers foods with a goal of losing 10 pounds by end of December.

Thanks again for suggesting this challenge and offering encouragement.
Have a great day!

Jean

Well, I think I am finally back on track since Thanksgiving. I only weigh in on Mondays, so I won't be weighing in for another week. I am trying to change up my exercise routine a bit. I think my body was getting used to/bored with what I am doing. I am going to add more strength training in. I am still working on C25K but it has done nothing but rain for the last 10 days, and I don't have a treadmill, so I haven't been doing it as much as I should. Just downloaded some new podcasts with better music for the program so hopefully that will make it better for me too. The music keeps me pumped.

Jean, let me know how you like that plan. I've heard great things about it. It's pretty restrictive, though, isn't it?

miatutu, I know it's not the same as running outside, but how about doing some workout DVDs at home just to keep your heart rate up and stay in shape?
