Do you girls mind if I join? I'm so addicted to pop, it's not even funny. The longest I went without pop was when I was about 13...I gave it up for Lent. And I honestly thought I would go to **** if I cheated, so I went the whole time without it (I forget how many days Lent is....40 days?).

I need to give up this addiction once and for all!! Pop has been a major setback for me when it comes to diet, and it's like whenever I drink it my diet goes out the window. I think it's one of my trigger foods...all the more reason to get rid of it!

So today...February 1...is day 1. 30 days will take me to March 2. I can do this!

Ugh, I went a few days, the super bowl came, and I had two mountain dews. Now I'm having one with my lunch. I'll start again tomorrow though! I just gotta keep going!!!

I hope everyone's doing good with their challenges as well

Hi G, Well, I went there too! I'm at SJSU right now. Speaking of "hugging trees", don't know how long ago you went, but I don't think you'd like what they've done there. So many trees gone, such a disappointment!

I graduated in 2002. But I know they where talking about putting a parking structure up in one of the parking lots. They had just finished the early education buildings and had a lot of stuff pulled up. To be honest i always thought it was poor judgement to put redwood around campus like near the gym and star place. Red woods have very shollow root bases and they will pull up sidewalks and fall over if not planted right. Iuse to work at Big Basin redwood state park. I know a lot about redwoods alot of good it does me in Denver.

I know it has been over a month since this thread started, I hope everyone has been able to achieve their goal. I also hope you don't if I jump on the bandwagon here...can't go a day without at least 3 sodas - isn't that horrible. So, as of right now I vow to be soda free from here on out. I've been able to do it three times and I went nine months without one (pregnant). But, now it's time to do it because I have too. I hope everyone continues to post here. It would be of great value to us all.
ooohhh - I can already feel the caffeine withdrawals kicking in.

I'm in, too! I drank two cans of coke and a glass of strawberry Fanta yesterday. Even if the soda is diet, the phosphoric acid can't be good for me.

As of today, I shall be soda-free!

Hey Dawn2Dusk!
It's nice to know someone else wants to continue on without sodas. I'm now soda free for 8 days...I don't even crave them at this time. I'm making my husband drink the last of the pepsi's I bought two weeks ago. Spent the whole day at the ballpark and stuck to water. Yeah!!
