Ward -- I've never seen that version, but it looks awesome! And yes, if you go just straight brownie mix/black beans, you blend the black beans first in a blender. I like to just dump the can in the blender, but some people prefer washing them, putting them back in the can, then filling the can with water before dumping them in the blender.

In other news, I've successfully navigated my way through Day 3! It was rough the last 5 minutes as I was finishing up a TV show. I had finished my evening snack of 100 cal popcorn, and grabbed a handful of Mini-wheats hat were open on the counter. But, I had some Activity Points left over, I wrote it down and I held myself accountable...which doesn't happen often when I impulsively grab for food. Now, I've brushed my teeth and have locked myself in my room for the night, haha

Tonight I felt my first urge to binge in over 3 weeks. I am sick again and kind of want to cure it with food! I got hungry and had a can of soup and an orange, it was my third meal of the day and totally within calories. But I was still hungry and stumbled into the kitchen. I found myself looking in the cabinet and thinking I would like a little bit of everything! I stuck my finger in the peanut butter for just a taste and had a granola bar. I probably didn't need either, but I'm just glad it didn't go any farther than that.

Congrats Tyla!!

I'm on day 3. I'm reeeal hungry after a week of on-again and off-again binging. Somehow I managed not to gain any weight, but I keep wanting to eat everything in sight. I think my stomach has expanded a little or gotten used to eating more food or something because I'm much hungrier than I am normally. Once I get to like day 7, it's easy... but I'm struggling right now...

here I am again.... day 10!
I feel good about my eating at the moment, but it kind of scares me, that it took me so long to recover from falling off the wagon. I had a real bad binge on day 23 and that was followed by 3 weeks of never getting any further than a day 4. Anyway... today is day 10 and tomorrow is going to be day 11 and I won't waste my time looking back anymore.

tyla - thank you!!! my boys are my biggest motivators!!! my oldest looked at the before and after picture from biggest looser and said "that's you mommy" and pointed to the after picture - i nearly cried right there in the grocery store!

with having two boys, i figured i'd better get healthy and strong since there is a good chance they'll be bigger and stronger than me in about...oh... 10 years! i need to be able to kick their butts if i need it! ha ha ha

Hi Chicks! I'm on day 3. I wanted to eat more than usual, so I snacked on extra fruit. Only went 100 calories over. I could have easily of binged, but I didn't!

Hi everyone, back to day 1 one for me. But an optimistic day 1

I'm following southbeach (or trying to...lol) This is the black bean brownie recipe i used....

Black-Bean Brownies (Phase 1)

Makes 21 servings (each serving is three 1" squares)

Ingredients
1 can black beans (13–15 ounces), rinsed well
3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar substitute
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
Spray an 8" x 8" brownie pan with nonstick cooking spray. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Transfer the batter into a mixing bowl. Then, pour the batter into the prepared brownie pan. Bake at 350°F for approx 30 minutes, until set in middle. Enjoy!

Day 75 !!! I made it through!!! Last night was hard as I made a corn bread recipe last night that i thought was 'healthy' only to find out that the serving size was sooo small for 200 cal that i didnt even want to start on it...so i had some cereal instead and went to bed...

I cannot believe it is day 75... this is *almost* becoming routine!!! still challenging... this makes me stop and think some days... feeling very strong and stable and confident right now...

lets keep on keepin' on !!!
