Default 5 days in & it's starting to work

Hi everyone. Well like I said in another post I have been casually counting calories for about 3 weeks but last Friday when I got my treadmill I got really serious. 1800 calories a day and a 60 minute fast paced walk. This morning with blisters on my feet I refused to get on that treadmill, so I got on my Wii Fit and saw that after just 4 days I have lost 1.2 pound. Not much I know but it motivated me enough to do 30 minutes with the Wii and 60 min. on that dreaded treadmill. That 1 pound in 4 days showed me that I can and WILL do this.

YAY! Go you. 1.2lb is a lot.

1 lb is 3500 cal so it's more than you think

That's awesome! Congrats!

I really want a Wii fit now. It seems that everyone has one these days.

Awesome! Keep up the good work. In itself, losing weight is motivation to lose more weight. I love it. Before you know it you will be down five lbs, then ten, and then six months from now you'll look back and say WOW! Congrats!

Awesome!!

And of course you can do this! Losing weight IS a doable thing. One which any one and every one CAN do.

I just want to caution you though about relying on the scale to drop and tying that into your motivation to forge ahead. Because trust me, there will be days, even weeks when the scale won't budge, regardless of how "on plan" you are. And dare I say, there might even be a time where it goes up.

So, yes, seeing that scale go down is great motivation, but make a commitment, that you will keep plugging away and sticking with your plan - no matter what. Because it DOES work IF you stick with it. Just doesn't always show up on the scale right away.

Just keep at it. Keep on going and which those minused pounds - multiply.

Thanks everybody! I can't wait until I start to see the numbers start to fall even further. I don't use the Wii Fit as much as I thought I would either. I prefer to workout a little harder then the games do, I do it more for fun then a workout. But it is nice to see my graph go down.

Congrats!! Keep up the food work!!

The Wii Fit can be fun... the boxing can get in a good workout but some of the other stuff is either just fun or can be too cumbersome to get a fluid workout in.
For a good interactive workout, I suggest My Fitness Coach for Wii. I got that a few weeks ago & love it over any other DVD I have tried.
