Made this for the kids this weekend. While I do not recommend for an everyday breakfast, is good for a once in a while "treat"
I made this for 5 people so of course play with the quantity
4cups boiling water
2cups old fashioned oats
1/3 cup peanut butter (I used Skippy because the kids do not like natural but the fresh ground natural works FANTASTIC)
Splenda (to taste)
Cinnamon (to taste)
Boil the water, add the oatmeal cook for about 7 minutes or so, until the water is mostly gone and the oats are done. Stir in remaining ingredients and serve.
Tastes like a peanut butter oatmeal cookie and the peanut butter gives me that extra protein kick in the AM and seems to make the oatmeal "stick" longer.
