Default Day 1 of Atkins - Here we go!

This is my first time posting after reading tons of stories over the past few years and wishing I could enjoy weight loss success. I am finally ready to end the countless hours of negative self talk and do something about my eating habits. In the past I had been unwilling because I simply love food too much! BUT, my health has taken a huge dive and it's time to get ahold of my emotional eating and poor choices. I have 50 lbs to loose and I am so ready! I'll be posting regularly so any words of support, or reminders from experience are greatly appreciated! I feel excited but also worried about the next few weeks of induction. I have no idea what it is like to change my eating habits for more than a day. I expect hunger, frustration and sadness but I look forward to feeling the benefits of success. Join me on here if you are doing the same !

Starting (again) today after sloppy eating habits and an I don't care attitude contributed to gaining all my weight back. Ideally I need to lose 50 lbs. I turn 49 in 3 weeks. My age and frame cannot handle what my eating habits. The biggest monkey on my back are Rock Stars which I quit 2 days ago. Obstacles are: an enabling husband, a long work commute that starts at 4 a.m., and a loathing of eggs. Plus I am lazy. Today is the day!

I've been on Atkins since January. It's very easy diet to keep on. Plenty of choices if you don't like eggs, I rarely eat them.

Hello? As of today how are you doing? I notice it's been a couple of weeks since you posted.

Answers to "obstacles".
1. Ignore husband.
2. Read a book, do crosswords, carry nuts or cheese.
3.You don't have to eat eggs.
4. That "lazy" feeing will leave when the carbs burn out of your system.
