Default peanut butter ?

Hi
I'm new here. I think this is where I should post this. I have a question about peanut butter. I use the all-natural kind you have to stir and I pour the oil off the top before stirring. Does this reduce the calories significantly? I have been counting them just as the label says, but I think it is less because that is about 1/3 of oil I pour off the top. Any ideas on this one?
Thanks

One tablespoon of oil is 120 calories, so if you multiply the number of tablespoons of oil you take off by 120 calories and then subtract that number from the total amount of calories in the jar (multiply # of servings by calories perserving) you'll know how many calories are in the whole jar without the extra oil. Then you can divide that number by the number of servings to calculate the calories/serving.

It's going to be less than 1/2 a point. And the other thing is that you are then measuring concentrated peanut protein and it has just as many calories as the oil you poured off.

Probably ok, it's probably only about a 10 calorie difference per 2 tablespoons anyway.

I would never pour the oil out - I have to struggle every day to get enough healthy fat in my diet.
