Hi...

Just curious about something...when a recipe calls for reduced fat mayo can I use reduced fat miracle whip instead? Noticed that the Oatmeal Raisin Cookies call for RF mayo and I typically use miracle whip...

Thanks!

I don't see why not. I just looked at my jar of RF mayo and DH's jar of regular mircle whip and the counts are just about the same. So the RF miracle whip would probably be lower. I just think the sugar count is a little higher in the miracle whip.

Here's the counts on the RF mayo
total fat- 3.5 gm
Calories per T. 40
calories from fat 35
sodium- 90 mg
carb- 2gm
sugar <1gm

I use Miracle Whip in place of Mayo most of the time and have not had a problem with it so far! Hope this helps!

That's great...that was the answer that I was hoping for. The only thing I thought was that the sugar count was a bit higher but not enough to perhaps worry about...

When I first started I asked my COD and they said that mayo and miracle whip are considered the same for LAWL. Hope this helps.
