S/C/G: 232 just getting started on it

Default What does your profile name mean?

I often come here and talk to you ladies and sometimes wonder how did you come up with your unique profile names.

Such as: mine is not2fat2bpretty...it picked it to help motivate me since I have such a low self esteem being over weight! Really to remind myself that I am pretty even though I am overweight.

So ladies, what does your name mean? I thought it would be interesting hearing your stories.

Mine is pretty self-explanatory. I play the fiddle. Or try to, anyhow.

TiredofWeightin

Well, it just means that I am sick to death of being overweight and I decided to do something about it. I will not "wait" for a miracle pill for my "weight"!! The nerd in me thought that the pun was a nice touch too!

DEAFinlysmart. IT's not DEAFINATELY because that wouldn't fit and because in the South we prounounce it definly anyways. Also there is a saying "deaf and dumb" meaning mute but people say "have you ever heard of that term.... I want to smack them and say YES, only about a thousand times. I don't live in the dark ages and I'm SMART!

hehe... i use buckettgirl about as a user name for MANY things...
Back in the spring of 2000, I went up to Rock Springs, Wyoming for a few days to see a friend of mine. This friend had a horse, and I am a horse lover, and hadn't ridden in years. So... we go get Shadow the horse, and bring him to a small public arena where I could get used to riding around again. This was a TALL horse, I might add, about 15 hands high (I saw another that was 18 hands, that one was a beast!). So, I get ready to get on the horse, but I didn't have enough upper arm/back strength to hoist myself up... so to compensate for the height, I was given a bucket to stand on.
I'm sure you can see where this is going LOL
So on the bucket I go, and off the bucket I fell... it was all me not paying attention to what I was doing. I landed on my back with my right hip on the bucket, which bruised quite well by the next day.
My friend then named me Bucket Girl. And it has since stuck... buckettgirl - the extra t is the variation I use because the name is already taken.

My name "BreakingFree" comes from the title of a book that has had a huge influence on my weight loss process - "Breaking Free from Compulsive Eating" by Geneen Roth.

My real name is Stephanie, named after my Father Stephen..the short is Stevi. I sing lead in a rock cover band locally...Ti DA!
"Television tastes funny" is a Cheese qoute from Fosters home for imaginary friends on cartoon network. I'm a huge fan of the Cheese character.

Sotypical = so typical

I have been using this on message boards since 2000. It comes from a song by one of my all time favourtie bands. The Moffatts.

Open your eyes
Hear all the voices inside my head
It's no surprise
Filtering through all the things you said

I can't believe that you're here again
You keep pretending there's no end

Chorus:
If I'm such a loser
Than why do you hang around me?
You're always trying to change me
You always say 'if only'
If I keep listening to all the things you said
You're so miserable
You're so typical

Taking your cue
From a magazine that talks to you
Filling your head
Without an original point of view
[well]
Oh look here she comes again
Runaway train comin' round the bend

If I'm such a loser
Then why do you hang around me?
You're always trying to change me
You always say 'if only'
If I keep listening to all the things you said
You're so miserable
And I'm invisible
This love's predictable
You're so typical

Bridge:
It's always the same
You can't find sunshine in pouring rain
Day by day
Finding someone else to blame

[oh]

I can't believe that you're here again
You keep pretending there's no end

If I'm such a loser
Then why do you hang around me?
You're always trying to change me
You always say 'if only'
If I keep listening to all the things you said
Then I'd be you instead

If I'm such a loser
Then why do you hang around me?
You're always trying to change me
You always say 'if only'
If I keep listening to all the things you said
Then I'd be you instead

You're so miserable
And I'm invisible
Love's predictable
Inconceivable
Unbelievable
Undeniable
Uncontrollable

You're so typical

The lyrics just ring true.

I am ever hopeful that I can conquer this Goliath in my life and win this war. I am ever hopeful that this will be the last weight loss campaign I'll have to go on and that I will finally learn how to maintain my ideal weight.

Mine is a name I use everywhere as well. It's one of the gummibears from the cartoon show that was on in the 80s. I LOVED the character, Sunnigummi, because she was so hip and cool (at the time) and I wanted to be like her so I chose the name. Plus, Sunni is what a couple of my friends call me - shorter version of my real name. I don't like it, but they're special so they get a pass.

Before I changed my avatar, I had a pic of her on here. Hmmm... no show and tell today.

This is so cool to find out where people get their names from...I've always wondered about some of you guys that I see often but was too shy to ask.
