My friend had her surgery 4 months ago and is doing really really well. She is beginning to get bored with foods though and I'm trying to help her with new ideas. Are there any good books (preferred)or websites (she doesn't have access - so I'd need to print them) that might have recipes for her? Thanks very much for your help!!!

There is a cookbook for post WLS. Its called Eathing Well After Weight Loss Surgery and its written by Patt Levine and Michele Bontempo-Saray.

140 plus recipes. And its also somewhat guided by the specific type of WLS a person has had too which is very helpful.

As a link off another site I found www.bariatriceating.com. The woman has a book and there are free recipes listed too. I haven't tried any as I am not eating yet... but a few sounded good enough for me to save them. You may want to try http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/recipe too. They have a forum there and you can post different recipes that you like or have tried. If you log into obesityhelp.com and go to the store, there are alot of books there, and a few of them are cookbooks.
