Default Great NSV at Doctors Appt.

I saw my liver specialist yesterday for the first time since February. At the last visit , I was 169. I am now 147. He was so happy with my progress. He is the doctor that told me last summer at 234 lbs. that basically I would die if I didn't lose the weight. He set my goal at 150 and I decided to try for 145 and I haven't quite made it yet. He said that only about 10% of his patients ever lose the weight that he wants them too and that I was a "huge success". This made me feel wonderful. My blood pressure is now 111/65 and it was 249/150 to start with. My liver enzymes are improved with the loss of weight. I am on fewer medications now and feel so much healthier. This is the reason for me taking the weight off and it has made me feel so much better.

Congrats! That's a fantastic NSV!!! I can't wait until I'm no longer ashamed to be weighed at the doctor's office.

Thanks everyone, I am feeling so good. Many of my family now tell me that they thought I'd never stick to a "diet". I wish they had told me this to start with. I am stubborn and it would have made my resolve just that much stronger. Being healthier is the best gift in the world to me.
